If this is isn’t an iPad killer, I don’t know what is. Toshiba announced a tablet that will be released whenever Honeycomb (Android 2.4? 3.0? What’s today’s rumor?) becomes available. This tablet packs a powerful punch and includes:
- 10.1 inch screen, 1280 x 800 resolution, capacitive touchscreen
- Tegra 2 processor
- accelerometer, ambient light sensor
- 2 MP front-facing camera, 5 MP back camera
- full-sized USB and HDMI ports
The tablet weighs 1.7 lbs and features a removable rubberized back and battery. Different colors are available for the back for customization. No name, pricing, or other information was given but Toshiba does want to release this the first half of 2011, soon after Google officially announces Honeycomb. Expect a working prototype at CES.
