The ARCHOS 28 and ARCHOS 32 are internet ready “tablets” that boast 8Mb of storage and the ability to access chat, social networking, play 3D games, and even take pictures. The ARCHOS 28 is 3.9 x 2.1 x 0.35 inches and the ARCHOS 32 is 4.1 x 2.1 x 0.3 inches, and both have an accelerometer, open GL tech, and video playback.
They preload NAPSTER for music downloads, Ebuddy to keep in touch with your friends, and they also namedrop Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. With the 28 going for $99.99 and the 32 for $149.99 it is right in line with “other” closed platform MP3 players. I wonder what they are hinting at. I can’t wait to see these out in the wild.
