Soon after VEVO released their own app, YouTube went ahead and updated their search results. Now you will know if your result is a music video or not. A lot of these videos are actually uploaded to YouTube by VEVO themselves, so odds are you will get very similiar results by using either application.
The YouTube “update” is all done on the server site, so you don’t need to update the application itself. Check out the pic below to see the music note icons that indicate the search result is a music video.
