Attention all baseball fans! As you die-hard fans probably know, teams begin their exhibition games today. What could make today even better? How about if MLB released the official app?
If you head over to the Android Market you will see they released two versions this year, the paid version for $15 and the free lite version. The one big feature that Android users have been requesting has been fulfilled. Starting opening day of the regular season, Android users with the paid version of the app (as well an MLB.TV subscription) will be able to watch live games on their phones! Official features are…
- Customize At Bat’s home screen to feature your designated favorite team.
- Favorite team icon home screen widget for one-click access to your favorite team’s At Bat 11 homepage
- MLB icon home screen widget for in-progress scores around the league
- Listen to available radio broadcasts of Spring Training games
- Follow batter-by-batter action for every Spring Training game
- Enhanced video library archive, searchable by player, team or keyword
- Breaking news, schedules and interactive rosters and players stats for every team
If you are interested in the free lite version, it includes all the features minus the ability to listen or watch live games, but it is stil nice of MLB to release a free version of the app for everything else.
Who is ready for baseball? I know I sure am. What team are you pulling for? Pretty excited for my Phillies this year!
