Premiering at MWC: Samsung Galaxy S II and Galaxy Tab II, Specs Confirmed

The Galaxy S II, one of the upcoming devices in store for us at Mobile World Congress, has been on most of our minds for a couple of weeks now and thanks to a leak sources found on a Korean website, we can now confirm the specs of the Galaxy S II.

The phone will measure just 8.49mm at its thinnest point, presumed to thicken to 9.9mm at the camera module,  it will have a 4.3in 800×480 Super AMOLED Plus display, a Samsung Exynos 4210 (formerly known as Orion) processor with two 1GHz Cores.(Exynos is a combination the two Greek Words Exypnos, meaning ‘Smart’ and Prasinos, meaning ‘Green’.)  The Galaxy S II will also feature NFC (Near Field Communications), Bluetooth 3.0, WI-FI and HSPA+ speeds of 24 Mbps.

The Galaxy Tab II, while we still don’t know how many cores, will have a 1GHz Processor, and a 10.1 inch 1280×800 display, all set atop stock Android 3.0, that’s right no custom Samsung  UI. It’s also now rumored that both the Tab and the S II will give you the option to choose between 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB of onboard storage. How will this compare to the Motorola XOOM Tablet, with both being a Google Experience Device you really can’t go wrong either way, although the price may be a big factor. We’ll just have to wait till Mobile World Congress to know what other goodies the Next-Gen Galaxy S will bring us, luckily that’s not too far away now.
