Yet Another Victory: Android Outsells Apple Q4

ComScore has just released their report for Q4 2010 sales and Android has taken the number 2 spot  with 28.7% market share compared with Apple, at 25.0%. Blackberry still holds the number 1 spot with 31.6% considering they had a loss of 5.7% from the previous quarter. In third and fourth place is Microsoft and Palm, which both saw losses of 1.5% and 0.5%, respectively.

From the 28.7% Android market share,  nearly a quarter (24.8%) was from Samsung. No doubt selling a Galaxy phone and tablet variant to all U.S. carriers really helped profits soar for Samsung and for Android devices overall. This quarter also marked a 60% increase in smartphone owners from a year-to-year stance. There are now 63.2 million smartphone owners in America.

What’s next for Android to conquer? How’s that Market looking?
