New Angry Birds HD Update Launches Ads Into Paid Version

It seems that paying for an app isn’t enough for Rovio and their ever expanding universe of Angry Birds. Recent reports, along with fan postings in iTunes have shown us that users are disgruntled (to say the least) with the latest update that splatters ads on the iOS paid version of the popular app.

Angry Birds HD, Now with Ads at Every Pause!

The ads appear whenever a player pauses the game. Instead of the traditional pause menu, a news section pops up full of ads for Angry Birds toys. The ad reportedly takes 1-2 seconds to come and go but after multiple times it quickly becomes annoying to anyone used to not seeing it. Most users are upset because they have already paid for the HD version and feel they shouldn’t have to see ads, unlike Android’s free version.
