The folks over at Pocket-Lint have learned that HTC is going to debut their 3D phone in the “coming months”. We saw in February that LG is set to unveil the first 3D smart phone sometime this year, the LG Optimus 3D , so now HTC wants to take a steak in the 3D world. LG already has set the bar for 3D phones (thus far), and now we get to see another manufacturer put their hat into the ring. 3D might seem as a gimmick to people, but this could be a step forward into something great, especially from HTC.
According to Pocket-Lints sources, the new HTC 3D smart phone will be, “thinner, lighter, and cheaper than the Optimus 3D”. The only other piece of information was the projected release date for the phone. Dates such as, later in the year or following the Optimus 3D launch, have been tossed around and nothing has been set in stone. Another date tossed around is around Q3, which would be between July and September. So we’ll sit back and see if any other manufactures hop on the 3D train.
