Amazon App Store Caught Setting up before Official Launch

Amazon has been making noises about their up and coming Android app store. They  have also  bagged a huge exclusive with Rovio Mobile and their up and coming Angry Birds Rio.

Amazon App Store: Open, then Shut, no Official Opening Word

There isn’t any word as of yet to when the app store will open but already apps have been seen, with prices too. You can’t download anything yet but you can have a look if you visit here (amazon.com/apps).  As soon as you click on one of the apps, though, back you go to the Amazon homepage.  Update: Now going to amazon.com/apps just takes you directly to the homepage.  Guess Amazon doesn’t want us watching while they move the furniture around.

Although you can’t do anything in the app store, you can get a glimpse at what developers are working with Amazon, what apps will be available and for how much. The Amazon app store has also got a dedicated twitter feed up and running, so for more info it might just be worth following them.
