Google Brings Instant Preview to your Android Device
Google has gotten so much quicker at bringing their newest technology to mobile. This past November, Google brought Instant Preview to the world on computers. Seeing a snapshot of the page before you click it is a very good indication of the content of the link, so it helps you choose the right page the first time.
How does Instant Preview Mobile Work? Like Google Fast Flip
Mobile simply doesn’t have the same screen real estate to implement this the exact same way, so it wasn’t immediately available. By taking a cue from Google Fast Flip, they have found a way to implement previews of pages when you click the magnifying glass on the page. You just scroll through the snapshots shown like you would go through pictures, and pick the one that best matches what you are looking for!
It works really well, and is something I’m sure I’ll use whenever I’m searching on my phone. Another +1 to Google for making mobile browsing that much easier. This feature is available now for Android devices with Android OS 2.2 (Froyo) and up, as well as iOS 3.0 and up.
Check out our screenshots and a video from Google explaining how it works below. As always, let us know what you think in the comments!
