HTC PYRAMID to be the First Honycomb Android Smartphone

HTC Pyramid Honeycomb Phone For Real?

A Chinese news source XDA.CN has reported specifications and pictures of the soon to be announced HTC Pyramid. The hardware stats are similar to what has been previously reported it features a 1.2Ghz dual core processor from Qualcomm, 768Mb of RAM, and a 4.3″ Super-LCD display with a (960 x 540) resolution. It is equipped with dual cameras an 8 megapixel rear shooter and a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera.

HTC Pyramid OS Version

The sleek HTC Pyramid is the new flagship Android device from the manufacturer who has been lackluster thus far in 2011. The news source appears to be accurate with the hardware information and the photos appear to be legit, so their report of the phone running Android 3.0 does have some credibility.

Google has consistently reported that Honeycomb is designed for tablet use but the opensource OS can be implemented by the manufacturers in many different ways so HTC might be able to pull this one-off.

HTC Pyramid Still Coming To T-Mobile?

The Pyramid has also been spotted in Australian carrier Telstra’s inventory which further proves its imminent arrival. Telstra is a GSM carrier which means the rumors about the HTC Pyramid heading to T-Mobile are still on track.

Whichever carrier the HTC Pyramid lands on with its specifications and rumored to Honeycomb OS, it will be the hit HTC needs to take their place back on top of the Android “Pyramid”. Do you guys believe the rumors, or are you not buying into the hype?
