Is Sprint Androids new best friend? First Nexus S 4g, now Google Voice!

Google Voice is an amazing service, but up until now it required some sacrifice to use it to its full potential. Prior to this announcement, to fully use it you had do one of two things. You could go the bold move (like me!) and switch your number to your GV number, telling everyone to adjust their phone books accordingly. I did this when I kissed ditched at&t and went to Verizon for the Motorola Droid, I chose to not port my number and only use my Google Voice one, so I kinda forced people to learn it, he,he. Another method (which wasn’t available when I switched) is to port your number over to Google exclusively. That way you keep the number people know, but no longer have it associated with a carrier. either way you will technically at least have 2 numbers, a Google Voice one and one from the mobile carrier. Sprint’s and Google’s newest announcement brings everything to your Sprint number without the need to port the number out. This includes text messages, calls, transcribed voicemail and more. It looks like someone is fully embracing Android even more than before! Like usual, Google sums it up nice and easily in one of their quaint little videos(embedded below), as well as a dedicated page for information.  This should make a lot of Sprint fans very happy! Sprint followers, let us know your feedback on this change and how well it works for you in the comments!
