Lightbox Looking to Make its Name in Apps, Beta of Lightbox Photos

Lightbox is the latest startup that looks to make it big. They are currently at SXSWi premiering the beta of their camera app, Lightbox Photos. The founders, Thai Tran and Nilesh Patel are in Austin, TX handing out private beta invitations to those interested. If you can’t make it there then you can signup for the beta here.

Lightbox Photos in the Cloud

The app links social networks with the Android camera to allow for offline use. This allows users to view their photos saved on Lightbox’s servers whenever they want.

The founders hope to make their startup a premiere app inventor team that rivals those on the West Coast. Tran was product manager of YouTube and Google Maps and now looks to bring his Google knowledge to London.
