Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi can be pre-ordered next month
Last week, Verizon launched the Motorola XOOM tablet with no word on the Wi-Fi version. Before, PC World had put up the price for the Wi-Fi version of the tablet for £449, but then the price was removed quickly. Well now, PC World has raised the price tag to £499.99.
PC World, one of the UK’s largest computing stores, has started taking pre-orders and would be available by April 9th 2011.
Want a Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi? Hope you live in the United Kingdom
At present, the Motorola XOOM W-iFi is available only in the UK. When I tried to order from the US, the country code had only “United Kingdom” as an option. As for now, if you are in US and want Wi-Fi in your tablet, then the Samsung Galaxy Tab is the way to go (assuming you can find one) — or wait for the XOOM Wi-Fi.
It is good news for customers in UK as they might have thought XOOM Wi-Fi would take longer for Motorola to release. Is this good news for you? Tell us whether you’d buy a Motorola XOOM if you could get the Wi-Fi version.
