PayPal Developer Challenge Offers $50,000 in Prizes for Awesome Apps, Android Only!
Calling out developers in Android land! PayPal just announced its latest contest, thePayPal X Developer Challenge for Android. You read it right, the challenge is Android-only this time around, with PayPal’s reasoning being:
“The huge growth that Google’s Android platform has experienced during the past year creates a big opportunity for developers. We see it every day with the submissions using our platform. That’s why we decided to make the theme to our next challenge Android mobile apps.”

So what is PayPal looking for? They want something new, business-ready, and PayPal payment-integrated. What do you get for showing PayPal your creative side? A gigantic deposit into your PayPal account!
The Grand Prize winner will receive $25, 000, the 2nd Prize is $15, 000, and 3rd Prize is $10, 000. PayPal says in addition to the cash, the top 3 apps will get marketing and PR support as well.
