We don’t have a clue what it could mean, but CTIA Vice President Rob Mesirow was just recently quoted as saying that a “significant” new tablet would be appearing at the CTIA Wireless 2011 exhibition. There is not one mention if the new device is question will run Android OS, but for now we’ll suppose it could.
When Mesirow was asked about what visitors would be seeing at CTIA this year, the response was “Android, Android, Android“. That’s a good sign right? An early rumor is that this new tablet could be M-Health(mobile health)related, with Mesirow saying that plenty of M-Health news would be announced at the show.
CTIA Wireless 2011 gets underway in Orlando, Florida on March 22nd and runs til the 24th. It’s estimated to bring in roughly around 40,000 visitors.
Carrier Sprint and manufacturer Samsung each have planned press events at CTIA, which could also play into this “significant” story. There are no more details to run with, so for now it looks like we’ll have to wait until the 22nd to see what announcement is made.
