Qualcomm Finally Delivers The Dual Core Snapdragon
CTIA 2011 is upon us and what’s more exciting for Sprint customers than getting new HTC devices? Equipping those devices with Snapdragon processors and even a 3D capabilities. The HTC Evo 3D sports the dual-core MSM8660 Snapdragon 1.2GHz processor that is capable of running separate speeds for each processor (hopefully bringing a significant upgrade to battery life). The Evo 3D is HTC’s first dual-core Android smartphone and it supports 1080p 30 fps HD video that can be shot in 3D and played back in 3D on the phone.
HTC Announces Their Tablet Entry
HTC’s other device is the Evo View 4G tablet with a CPU 1.5GHz snapdragon processor. The seven inch screen will likely pit this device against Dell’s Streak and other small screen tablets instead of trying to compete with Apple’s iPad and iPad2, but it’s definitely exciting to see faster processors being used by HTC.
Any future tablet owners looking forward to HTC’s View or are you waiting for larger screen devices, like Toshiba’s iPad2 killer?
