The HTC Thunderbolt has finally arrived despite delays that pushed it back a month after its initial release date. The rumor was that Verizon’s 4G LTE network was not ready but now it looks that HTC was having trouble with the phone. Owners are reportedly having trouble with sending and receiving SMS messages. When in 4G areas, incoming SMS messages post the SIM number of the phone that sent the message. There are no reports of owners experiencing this in 3G areas since 3G CDMA doesn’t use SIM but it must be annoying for those looking forward to a 4G phone on Verizon. There are also reports of sent SMS messages not being received by other phones. Hopefully an update arrives soon to fix these major bugs.
Any Thunderbolt owners experiencing this or other issues?
