HTC Incredible S Lands on Bell Mobility: $99 for a 3-Year Featuring Mobile TV

HTC Incredible S has just shown up at Bell Mobility in Canada.

You can grab it for $99 on a 3-year contract and only $499.95 if you buy it contract-free. The HTC Incredible S is the GSM version of the sequel to Verizon’s HTC Droid Incredible. It has much the same form-factor as the original Droid Incredible, but it now has a 4 inch Super LCD (800 x 480 pixels) in place of the 3.8 inch of the the refreshed Droid Incredible (originally, the Droid Incredible had an AMOLED screen but the world-wide AMOLED shortage led to newer units with a Super LCD).

HTC Incredible S Feature Set

This device will come to you with the newest release of HTC’s Sense atop Android 2.2 Froyo. The specs include an 8 MP camera, 720p video recording, dual-LED flash, front-facing camera with 1.3 MP, 768 MB RAM, and a 1 GHz second-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset.  There are also all the things we have come to expect in an Android phone including Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, WiFi B/G/N.  It has an 8 device hotspot, and DLNA capability built-in.  It comes with an 8 GB microSD card and three games: UNO, Asphalt 4, and Let’s Golf.  It is capable of 14.4 mbps download speeds over HSDPA.  One of the coolest, innovative features is that the Android buttons on the bottom of the device  rotate when you hold the device in landscape orientation.

It’s not the highest of the high-end, but it definitely is nice.  I am not embarrassed to tell you that this is a phone that I want.

Mobile TV

In the same announcement, Bell released a new mobile TV service.  There are three channel packs: Sports, Variety, and HBO.  Each of them comes in at $5/month for mobile and $10/month for tablets.  You get 10 hours a month included, and this is in addition to the data fees to stream it!

Are you going to buy an Incredible S (hint: it’s an unlocked phone that works on AT&T’s 3G)?  How ’bout one of these mobile TV services?  Let us know below.
