The HTC Thunderbolt is arguably the best smartphone available at the moment. But it’s battery issues are real and really hamper the user experience when you are forced to disable features that make the Thunderbolt so great, just to get it to last a day. Fortunately there is a solution. The 2750MAH battery by HTC. Let me get this out-of-the-way, this thing is big. That’s for sure, but a little added bulk may be worth it if your like me and want to use this phone and all it’s features worry free. The 2750MAH battery is 2x larger than the standard battery included with the Thunderbolt. Which is why HTC has included a battery door compatible with the battery. The door is made out of the same soft touch plastic material as the original door and includes all the necessary cutouts including those for the dual-LED flash. The 2750MAH extended battery will run you about $50 but is money well spent when you can leave your Thunderbolt off the charger without the fear of rapid battery drain. I recommend you call your nearest Verizon store to check it is in stock before making the trip, if you do decide to pick one up. Or snag one from the Android Headlines Store (link removed) now.
