So, Apple is taking another company to court: Samsung

Recently Apple has filed a lawsuit against Samsung, a well known Android phone maker. Apple claims that Samsung has infringed on patents regarding the look and feel of their phones. Apple states that the latest Galaxy line of phones is a direct copy of many iOS devices. The lawsuit goes as far as saying that the Touchwiz UI that Samsung loads onto their phones is in direct violation of an iOS patent.

But Samsung is clawing back

Just the other day, Samsung filed a countersuit against Apple. It is not clear quite yet exactly what the countersuit entails, but it relates to a couple of violations around the globe. Samsung is claiming that Apple has infringed on patents they own in Korea, two in Japan, and three in Germany.

Samsung gave a statement, talking directly about the countersuit they filed against Apple.

“Samsung is responding actively to the legal action taken against us in order to protect our intellectual property and to ensure our continued innovation and growth in the mobile communications business.”
