Verizon Customers Prefer HTC Thunderbolt over iPhone 4
According to BGR.com, the HTC Thunderbolt, the new flagship of Verizon’s LTE network, may be outselling the Apple iPhone 4 at Verizon Wireless stores.
Industry Research Reveals Devices Tied or Thunderbolt Preferred
BTIG, a firm specializing in market analysis and trading, made calls to over 150 Verizon Wireless stores in 22 major U.S. cities to inquire into which handset was selling better. They discovered that 61% of the stores claimed that the two devices were moving out at the same rate.
Move Over EVO
Now here’s the shocker for Apple, only 11% of those stores said the iPhone 4 was selling more while 28% claimed that they were selling more Thunderbolts. This news is not all together surprising to me. A lot of insiders believed that part of Thunderbolt’s delay in being released was that it would hurt iPhone sales. Though this data can be taken with a grain of salt we can conclude the Thunderbolt’s release was a good one and that its older brother, the HTC Evo’s, days as HTC’s best-selling phone may be numbered.
