The Boost Mobile Samsung Galaxy Prevail won’t stack up very well against it’s Galaxy siblings, but if you are looking for a low point of entry for an Android device this phone looks like a deal. Boost Mobile is a Pre-Pay carrier that is owned by Sprint and they are known for their low plan prices and their unique Bill Shrinkage feature. You can buy the new Prevail for the full retail price of $179 with a $50 a month unlimited plan and shrink your bill by $5 a month for each 6 month period of timely payments.
The phone really isn’t all that bad. The feature highlights:

The official specs at the Boost Mobile website don’t mention RAM or processor but PCmag.com claims it will be an 800MHz processor with 384MB of RAM and 110MB of storage space. I also wonder about the screen. A budget phone with a budget screen may not be touch accurate and may be noticeably darker and less saturated than a mid to high-end screen.
If you are budget conscious or not interested in contracts then this one deserves a look.
