Sharp will have the Aquos 12C 3D phone available for Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo on May 20th. This device is rather plain in appearance but hey, it ships with Gingerbread so it can’t be all that bad.

The Japanese translation was a little spotty but the phone looks to have a largely stock UI and the hardware is understated but very clean. In short, this is a very “sharp” looking device.
There were rumors last year that Sharp would be bringing 3D Android phones to the US this year, but don’t hold your breath for this one being on the list. I’ve seen several phones from Japanese manufacturers over the last few years that never make it past Japanese carriers.
