This news comes from ashergray over at the xda forums. It seems that the Xperia Play may finally see root on Verizon, though it will likely be a week or so before we see a permanent solution. As of this article, ashergray intends to not publicly share the knowledge until this solution is found. You can find screens of proof at the link below something that has not been done yet for the Xperia Play on Verizon. For some reason, GSM versions of the phone came with unlockable bootloaders already, but this should be big news for you Sony Ericsson fans on Verizon.
