Featured: Samsung Galaxy Note to Be Available at Bell, Rogers and Telus in February

The long-awaited Galaxy Note will finally be available in Canada at the 3 major networks, Bell, Rogers and Telus, on February 41th. People who want to absolutely maximize the size of their phone’s screen, while still being able to put it in a pocket, will soon get their wish with this 5.3″ size phone, or small tablet if you will.

The phone will come with a dual core 1.4 Ghz Exynos chip. It will have a 1280×800 resolution, just like regular 10.1″ tablet do right now, and the display will be nothing else than the well known Super AMOLED display. It will come with 16 or 32 GB of storage, and also an SD slot for expansion of up to 32 GB. It will have an 8 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front camera. It will be able to take advantage of all 4G networks, including LTE, so you will be able to watch Netflix in native HD resolution on that vivid screen, with no Internet connection hiccups.

What’s special about this phone or small tablet is that it will also come with a digital pen, and you’ll be able to write your notes or draw on it on the go. The phone comes with Android 2.3 with Touchwiz on stop, unfortunately, even though Android 4.0 was released almost 3 months ago. I really wish I could see the latest version of Android on all new high-end Android phones when they come out more than 3 months after that certain version was made open source by Google.

Releasing many models in a year is only going to make it harder to keep all these devices updated, and that is what a lot of customers want – perhaps not most customers, but definitely the most vocal of the customers. Still, the Galaxy Note is such a unique device, and it already has the resolution needed for Android 4.0 to look best, so I’m sure the ICS update will come to it very soon.
