Droid 4 Finally Available
There have been rumors about the release of the Motorola Droid 4 with Verizon’s 4G LTE for some time now, and today you can finally get your hands on the new full QWERTY rocking Droid. As you can see it is very similar to the Moto RAZR both in software and hardware. It will feature the same 1.2 Ghz dual core TI OMAP 4430, 1 GB of RAM, and Moto’s skinned Gingerbread OS, with an update to ICS sometime in the future. What sets this handset apart from the sea of Android devices being released is that it is one of only to still sport a full QWERTY keyboard and it’s one of the best.
QWERTY Keyboard
The Droid 4 keyboard is another step up for the line and with it’s side led lit keys it easy to type in all lighting situations. For anyone who loves the five row keyboard with a full number line and the full screen being available while in use this is the best option available.
The Droid 4 also features the same 8 megapixel camera on rear as the RAZR capable of 1080p video and a front facing camera capable of 720p video chatting. The back on this device is removable with a special included tool giving access to the sim and microSD card slots allowing you to add more to the included 16GB of on board storage. The battery is once again non removable however so users will need to take advantage of Moto’s battery saving software enhancements and location aware profiles.
What do you think of the LTE capable Droid 4 now that it finally available from Verizon for $199.99 with a new contract? Is this the device you’ve been waiting for?
