Featured: Google Currents Gets An Update Too; Brings Refinements and Speed

If you’ve not heard of, or installed Google currents before then now might be a perfect for you, in the wake of the busy Google I/O happenings, Currents hasn’t been left behind in fact, its gotten a nice update. The update brings with it some small UI changes along with performance increases throughout, making the app snappier than ever.Currents is one of the best looking and simplest news apps available for Android and being part of the Google Apps clan it makes syncing it between your devices extremely easy. The app tries to lay out web content in a more magazine like fashion without going too crazy and leaving the content still on text. It’s a fabulous way to read up on the latest news from a variety of sources, of which more and more are being add constantly.

It’s nice to see Google take a toothcomb to not just its OS but also to the numerous Google applications out there in the Play Store as well, knuckling down and making a uniform experience throughout all these apps and services is not only important but what we’ve come to expect from Google now and they’ve certainly delivered this time around.
