Yesterday at Google’s Day One Keynote of the I/O conference they unveiled – amongst other things – a revamped Play Store with some added content. TV Shows, Magazines and the ability to purchase Movies to watch again and again were all added to the Play Store.
Of course, these are additions that many have wondered why it took them so long to get here but, now there wait is finally over as these can be enjoyed by all now. Thanks to the new version of the Play Store client app for Android devices, v3.7.11 can now be downloaded and installed by all. However, there is a catch, as there always is. If you happen to live outside of the US then unfortunately, this apk isn’t going to get you any of the new stuff that was announced yesterday, which is unfortunate as this editor happens to be outside of Uncle Sam’s reach. Aside from the added extras there are a few UI tweaks but nothing that will give you cardiac arrest, I’m sure.
I expect that Google will be bringing these added features to other shores once they’ve sorted out licensing issues overseas. What are you waiting for though, go and download the latest Play Store app right now, here!
