The Nexus Tablet, a partnership between Asus and Google, has been rumored and talked about for many months now. The large appeal of the Android tablet is simple: The first official Google tablet and with a low price, likely around the price of the Kindle Fire. Specs are a bit wishy washy, but today some photos were rumored to have leaked which shows the sleek design and 7 inch display.
If the pics are true, the front of the tablet will be white while the back will be two-toned with black and gray. The whole color scheme does look a bit odd, but there will possibly be an all white version or something along those lines instead. Phone Arena who leaked the image as well as some other details, said that the Nexus Tablet will have a Tegra 3 processor which many enthusiasts wouldn’t have expected anything less, and will be running Android 4.1 Jellybean, the next version of the Android operating system.
The tablet appears to also have a speaker in the front including a front facing camera which means it would work well with video chat or even VOIP services such as Skype. Pricing is expected to be in the $150-250 range which would be right on par with going up against the competition.
Anyways, that’s all we’ve got at the moment so we’ll have to wait and see what else comes out from the rumor mill and even better, if Google and Asus will finally officially announce something. Google I/O is later this month which is when we’ll very likely be hearing more about the Nexus Tablet.
