The 4th of July is this coming Wednesday and all of us here at Android Headlines hope you have a great and safe time. Please, don’t run around with Roman candles unless it’s in the name of science. Hoping to make a big bang (see what I did there?), the HTC DROID Incredible 4G LTE will arrive on Verizon July 5th. Verizon and HTC announced the smartphone back in May and finally confirmed a release date.
When it was announced, they said it would be out in the coming weeks, though clearly there was some sort of setback. Maybe patent related stuff, we don’t know entirely for sure. Think of an HTC One S with a somewhat smaller screen and that’s basically the DROID Incredible 4G LTE.
The specs:
- 4 inch 540×960 display
- 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual core processor
- 1GB RAM
- 8GB internal storage with microSD card support
- 2 megapixel front-facing camera
- 8 megapixel rear-facing camera which shoots up to 1080p
- Beats Audio
- Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
- 1700mAh battery
You’ll be able to pick up the phone for $199 which comes with a $50 mail in rebate. After all is said and done, it’ll run you, well, you can do the math. It is a bit annoying that Verizon and HTC is requiring the MIR to get the phone for $149 and why it shouldn’t just be that price to begin with. All in all, looks like a solid mid-range phone at a decent price as well. The screen isn’t amazing, but hey, you get a rock solid processor and cameras to boot.
