Huawei is releasing the MediaPad 7 Lite to compete with all other 7 inch Tablets, especially the highly acclaimed Nexus 7 from Google. Now to get to comparison we come to a stumbling block, there aren’t many confirmed specs for this tablet so far other than the 7 in IPS (In-Pace Switching) display, HD video playback compatibility, metal unibody, a rear facing camera (which could appeal to those owners of tablets like Nexus 7 without a rear facing camera), capability of 3G, SMS and MMS. Sounds pretty nice, but no specs are revealed yet as to the processor, camera megapixels, storage or if it’s coming on board with Jelly Bean 4.1 for sure. Check here for some other specs revealed according to GSM Arena. From the picture it seems like it’s running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. With it’s notes on bringing cellular features, this phone/tablet could be a hit but things are still a little ambiguous. I’ll have to admit it looks sharp and a very stable tablet. Still personally for me, I’m staying with the Nexus 7 until the next Nexus device comes to wipe out the Nexus 7, if it even does. So although I’m a Google man, this is one of the only other tablets that have caught my eye honestly, and the full list of specs aren’t even released! One thing to take note also is that it’s title contains the word, “Lite” which could be a cause to believe it will lack some hardcore features of other 7in tablets or tablets in general.
