8 months ago the LG Spectrum appeared on the scene, packed with its 4.5-inch. display, 4GB storage 1GB RAM, 8 mega-pixel camera on the back and dual-core 1.5 Ghz Scorpion processor. It was a hot release that owners recently got their hands on. LG planned on releasing the Optimus LTE2 but they had a slight change of plans. The LG Optimus LTE2 has now been changed to the LG Spectrum 2. How do Spectrum owners feel after this recent upgrade in the Spectrum series?
The specs on the LG Spectrum 2 entail a 4.7-inch HD display, 1.5 ghz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8 mega-pixel rear camera, LTE, front-facing camera and NFC (Near Field Communication). Some speculate that the Spectrum 2 will not feature Android 4.1/Jellybean, chances are it will feature the good ol’ smooth Ice Cream Sandwich, but we can hope for the best. And even though it will support NFC, others say not to expect any usage of Google Wallet, though Beam should be fully functional as well as writing tags. This will be a smartphone with a stronger processor with the likes of HTC One X and HTC One S but I’m sure those owners of LG Spectrum may feel a little left out. It’s release date has been assumed to be in early July which hasn’t yet happened so I’m sure we’ll be getting some updated information soon on it’s release date.
Before its name change, the LG Optimus LTE2 had a few pictures leaked as well as the fact it will be available on GSM, CDMA, UMTS and LTE networks internationally.
