Featured: Samsung Galaxy Note II Using an Overclocked Samsung Galaxy S3 Processor?

It appears the Samsung Galaxy Note II rumor mill is hard at work once again. PhoneArena has picked up on some benchmark scores for the Samsung GT-N7100 which we all assume to be the Galaxy Note II since the original Galaxy Note was GT-N7000. According to these benchmark scores, it looks like Samsung is using the same Exynos 4412 processor from the Samsung Galaxy S III but overclocked it to 1.6GHz.

As far as the display goes, it looks like the device will be sporting a 1280×720 resolution. No word yet on if it’ll be HD Super AMOLED Plus yet. It’ll also be running Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich and not Jelly Bean which was announced late last month. The Galaxy Note II has also been rumored to be sporting an even larger screen, but keeping relatively the same size body thanks to some bezel reduction.

All signs are pointing to Samsung announcing their second iteration of the Galaxy Note at IFA in Berlin, Germany on August 30th or August 31st. It’s fairly likely that the device will be launched in the UK shortly after its announcement.
