Featured: Snapdragon SDK Expanding for Improved Hardware Integration

Android developers need the ability to have powerful, fast and effective processing. Snapdragon is known for their connectivity, multitasking, speed and battery. Now Qualcomm is getting you a software development kit (SDK) in hopes to assist Android developers to take the Snapdragon processor line for granted. Including a group of APIs, the Snapdragon S4 8960 processor will be added to more of the Snapdragon line in due time. Facial processing, power efficient geofencing, additional sensor gestures for interfaces as well as facial processing seem to be what’s coming to the table with this updated SDK.

In order to add more features, Qualcomm has undertaken to release this SDK, unifying the ability. They already offer development hardware and APIs for HTML5 but this seems to bring easier usability.

Nvidia’s Tegra processors are on the top of the list for many developers but other developers aren’t satisfied enough. They need more. They need what is better. They deserve it. Snapdragon seems to be bringing this out regardless of Nvdia’s Tegra processors, which have their own  Tegra Zone software development kits. We’ll see where they add up once this final version of Snapdragon’s SDK is released.

If you want to get your hands on a developer preview, head over to Qualcomm’s developer site, or you can wait for the final version being released within the next several months.
