In this great Android world of ours rumors can be like currency, the more rumors a company has swirling around them the more successful they seem to become. After all, the Galaxy S III had so many rumors swirling around that by the time it launched it was already ingrained in people’s minds.
There’s now a fresh batch of rumors surrounding upcoming HTC devices that could be released by the end of the year, including Tegra 3 phones as well as rumors of some new tablets as well. Of course, these sorts of rumors seem to be around HTC every year right back to the EVO 4G that were was widely known was coming before the phone launched on Sprint. What’s interesting about these batch of rumors is that a G3 is in there as well. That’s right, there might just be a new addition to the line of phones that launched Android in the first place is getting an up-to-date model from HTC. Of course, nothing is really known about the device but what we can be sure of is that the device will ship a stock build of Android.
The device could well be based on a Tegra 3 chip or even Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 that should have worked out any production problems by then. The bog question here is whether or not T-Mobile and HTC will launch with 4.1 Jelly Bean now that the gold build of 4.1.1 has now launched or do what they did with G2 and launch with an outdated version of Android and take forever to update.
