Straight from the mouth of Google; "Galaxy Nexus Pulled due to Injunction."

As of Tuesday we have learned that Google has indeed pulled the Galaxy Nexus from the Play Store due to Apples infringement lawsuit against them. Score another one for apple with this fight dirty mentality to keep their device sales in the front game against any and all competition. It isn’t known whether the injunction directly caused the decision to take down the Galaxy Nexus from availability to consumers, but ABC News Joanna Stern writes that Google did in fact pull the device from sale on the Play Store in response to the ruling from the judge presiding over the case. If this is true, its a move that both makes sense and confuses. As many people know the unlocked Galaxy Nexus devices that were handed out at last weeks conference were all set up to receive the Jelly Bean update within a matter of hours, and all other Galaxy Nexus devices that were sold on the Play Store were set to receive the update in the coming week or two. The Software update is of relative importance because it addresses a fix to the so called patent infringement claims made by Apple concerning search. After the software refresh to Jelly Bean is complete, the infringement claims should no longer hold allowing Google to put their device back up for sale. Although it is currently not up for purchase at the moment, the Galaxy Nexus is supposed to be back up and available for consumer purchase with a little bit of Jelly Bean baked right in out of box as early as next week. We’ll see if this is actually the case and hopefully we’ll see the device up before too long. As always we’ll update once we know more.
