Featured: Verizon LG Optimus LTE2 Might Launch in a Matter of Days

The LG VS930, also known as the LG Optimus LTE2 will probably become another one of Verizon’s flagships, as early as July 13th, which is just a day later than the launch of the Galaxy S3. Why would they launch them with such small difference of time between them? My guess is this was the LG phone’s launch date the whole time, and the Galaxy S3 was supposed to launch like a couple of weeks later.

But since it didn’t, now Samsung will have to deal with launching their flagship just a day before LG’s flagship. I’m sure LG is very happy about this, because it just means that not so many people will get to buy Samsung’s Galaxy S3 before they get to see their own flagship, which features similar high-end hardware and premium design to the Galaxy S3:

  • Android 4.0.4/Optimus UI 3.0
  • 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 SoC
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 4.7-inch “True HD IPS” display (1280 x 720 pixels)
  • 16GB of built-in storage
  • Global radio support (GSM/UMTS/CDMA/LTE)
  • NFC (it comes with programmable tags)
  • 8MP camera

While it’s strange that we haven’t heard all that much about a phone that is about to launch very soon, it’s possible this phone may actually arrive on Verizon soon, so you may want to hold off that Galaxy S3 purchases until you can compare the two.
