Featured: Amazon Kindle Fire Sold out, just a week before their new product announcement

Today Amazon announced that both the Kindle Fire and Kindle Touch have been put on the out-of-stock list. We’re thinking that they will be out-of-stock forever, since the company will be announcing a new product next week in which we are pretty sure will be a new Kindle Fire and possibly 5 different versions of the device. We first reported about the 5 different Kindle Fire’s last month.

Now that rumor of the 5 Kindle Fire’s that we saw back in July showed everything from budget devices all the way to high-end 10-inch Kindle Fires which include a 4G radio, but that rumor did not say whether it’s 4G HSPA+ or 4G LTE. I know I’d prefer some 4G LTE in my Kindle Fire.

Who bought the original Kindle Fire last year? Of those that did, who still uses it? It’s obvious that Amazon is going to have to pull out some new tricks if it wants to compete with Google’s Nexus 7 which is the same price, and a few more features, including a camera and a better screen, along with a $25 Play Store Credit, and it’s a Nexus (that speaks for itself).  So what do you think Amazon needs to do with their next generation Kindle Fire to make it a success? Either way, we’ll find out next week what the new Kindle Fire has in store for us, and how many there will be.

Below we’ve got the full press release from Amazon about the Kindle Fire and Kindle Touch being out-of-stock.
