Google’s Nexus 7 tablet was announced back in June and caused quite the buzz across the industry and with consumers. For $199 for the 8GB version and $249 for the 16GB version, once could get a 7 inch tablet with solid display and a quad-core processor that would blaze through just about anything.
The Nexus 7 has been fairly easy for some to get ahold, unless of course you factor in the various delays and them selling out, but the tablet hasn’t made its way overseas quite yet. Fortunately that’s about to change and France will be getting the first shipment come September 3rd. Currently, the 16GB version will only be available in stores with the 8GB version to come later.
Customers can expect to shell out €249.90 and will be available in multiple stores such as Darty, Fnac, and Boulanger. Pre-orders haven’t started just yet, but it would be a safe bet to pre-order in store or online when it becomes available to ensure you actually get your hands on the Nexus 7. We’re not sure if it will come with a nice little credit to the Google Play Store, but one would hope so.
All in all, if you’re in the market for a tablet and looking for something powered by Android and at a great price, the Nexus 7 is clearly the best choice. Google has really done a great job and makes one wonder how other Android manufacturers will compete in the tablet market. Either way, it’ll push them to either go above and beyond what they already have, or get stuck behind.
