Featured: More Leaks Of The Xperia Tablet; This Time it's Press Images

Ah, the rumor mill, without it I think a could many of us would become a little bored with the tech industry, I know I would, it’s like a soap opera that never ends and characters continuously return over and over. Although, more seriously, some of us rely on rumors to figure out if an upcoming device is going to be worth waiting for or whether they should take the plunge on whatever is available at the moment. This is something I, myself, have been doing when it comes to my next tablet purchase – I’ve been waiting for the Galaxy Note 10.1 ever since February and I’m a little fed of up of waiting. Now that the Note 10.1 is finally upon us this has taken me by surprise. The curse of the rumor mill.

The tablet itself, is said to be launching with Android 4.0 or possibly above, a Tegra 3 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 1-MP front-facing camera and an 8-MP rear-facing camera. As well as this the upcoming Xperia tablet is said to pack a massive 6000 maH battery and to be built from a magnesium alloy casing which is said to be 42 per cent thinner than the Tablet S. The main attraction of the show here is 9.4-inch display, which whilst there’s no confirmed resolution it’s more than likely going to become the standard 1280×800 we’re all used to, the bezel surrounding that though is another story altogether, quite frankly, its massive.

On the pricing front according to an XDA thread the 16GB version will retail for $399.99 and then another $100 on top for 32GB and the same again for 64GB of storage. There are rumors for both 3G and WiFi models but, whether or not there becomes a 3G version don’t expect any carriers to stock the thing.
