Featured: Motorola launching Droid Razr HD and Droid Razr Maxx HD in October?

According to Hot Hardware, there is a new rumor that Motorola will be releasing the Droid Razr HD and the Droid Razr Maxx HD this coming October. It’s said that Motorola is looking to see how well the year old Droid Razr and Droid Razr Maxx sell this fall season before they release the Droid Razr HD. Hot Hardware’s source could not verify any specs, but you can bet they are right in line with the latest Android devices, and probably a slightly better screen than what we have on the Droid Razr and Razr Maxx. Thanks to some leaks we’ve seen over the past few months, we do know that the device will have a 2350mAh battery, so who knows how big the Droid Razr Maxx HD battery would be. Could it be over 4000mAh? That would give us some great battery life, especially on LTE.

The Droid Razr and Droid Razr Maxx are still some great devices, even a year after their launch. But customers want to buy the latest and greatest, not a device that’s a year old and close to end-of-life (EOL). Why push the launch of the Droid Razr HD to October when we all know a certain fruit company is going to be releasing their new smartphone in September. That’s almost committing suicide on the Droid Razr HD and Droid Razr Maxx HD. Motorola needs to get this device to Verizon and launch it as soon as possible if they expect it to do well. The Droid Razr HD has been rumored for so long, it’s about time it’s made available to the customers.

So who’s still interested in the Droid Razr HD? Yeah it’s not the nicest looking Android phone out there, but with a 2350mAh battery in the Droid Razr HD, and an even larger one in the Droid Razr Maxx HD how could you not want to pick it up? After all the number one complaint from Android users is battery life.
