Every since Google I/O back in June where the Nexus 7 debuted, we’ve been seeing more 7-inch tablets emerging. Especially after how well the Nexus 7 sold and is still selling. Now it looks as if Acer is joining the 7-inch tablet competition. The Iconia A110 isn’t a bad device for the price, to some people it might even be better than the Nexus 7 simply because it has a micro SD card slot. Here’s the specs on the Acer Iconia A110 tab:
- quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor
- 1GB of RAM
- 8GB of storage of internal storage (expandable via SD slot)
- 7″ display
- HDMI output
- Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
Some pretty decent specs, but the thing that stands out is that it’s shipping with Android 4.1 on-board. And all of this for £179 (which translates to about $289 USD). Not to bad of a price. Some folks will probably choose this over the Nexus 7 due to the HDMI output and the expandable storage. Currently Ebuyer is claiming to be the first retailer selling the Iconia A110. But I’m sure it’ll be available at more retailers within the next few weeks.
Any of our readers in the UK looking to pick up the Acer Iconia A110 tablet? Or are you going to stick with the Nexus 7? Let us know in the comments.
