This Apple v Samsung lawsuit just will never end. I’m sure most of you are tired of reading about these lawsuits, I’d like to continue writing about new phones and apps, etc., but we can’t overlook this trial between two of the largest phone manufacturers. Just a week after the ruling came down that Samsung owes Apple just over $1 billion for their patents, now Apple is asking the court to add some new Samsung hardware to their complaint. These devices include the new Galaxy S3, and the original Galaxy Note and Note 10.1. Although I’m sure the Galaxy Note 2 will be added soon.
Apple is saying Samsung infringed about eight of their utility patents. The major patents at issue here are patent 721 which includes the slide to unlock feature, and 604 which applies to universal search which Samsung has pulled off of a number of their devices. So since the ruling last week, research has shown that Samsung has sold even more devices. Would this make you buy another Samsung device? Or are you done with Samsung?
