Featured: Bring Android 4.1 Jelly Bean To Your HDTV With The FAVI SmartStick

There’s no shortage of Android powered mini PCs currently on the market. One that looks particularly promising, at least for those wanting something a bit more high-end or to tinker with, is the FXI Cotton Candy that features a dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, and Ice Cream Sandwich.

While Android 4.0 is nothing to laugh at, Jelly Bean is definitely a big improvement. What about in a mini PC the size of a USB stick? That’s exactly what FAVI has done with their “SmartStick” that can plug into any HDTV through the HDMI port.

You can pre-order as we speak with the 4GB version running $49 and the 8GB version running $79. Pre-orders are said to ship out in October. All the apps that you’d expect to run on any smartphone or tablet can, of course, be run on the SmartStick. Unfortunately, FAVI hasn’t released any specs yet which is a bit of a shame considering the product is available for pre-order and most people want to know what’s under the hood before they buy.

Either way, the SmartStick has WiFi onboard, a headphone input, and a full sized USB port for connecting a wireless keyboard and mouse. While we wish it was running a totally untouched, unadulterated version of Jelly Bean, here’s a quick look in the video below:
