Featured: Madfinger Teases Multi-Player Shooter Shadowgun Deadzone; Let the Bullets Fly

Madfinger games is without a doubt one of the best game developers out for android right now. They have put out numerous hits like Samurai II: Vengance, Shadowgun THD, and Dead Trigger. All solid games with a lot of very well thought out mechanics and graphics are always top-notch. With the release of shadowgun last year they turned shooter games for android on their heads, and with the popularity and cult following that soon gathered to bask in the greatness, Madfinger then announced their next venture. Shadowgun: Deadzone. The all-out war and online multiplayer bullet flinging frag fest that pits you against others and allows you to play as your favorite Shadowgun characters. Seeing as how they took the shooter genre and really made a quality game, I’m eager (and that’s putting it mildly) to see what they do for the online multiplayer scene. With native gamepad support on your tegra 3 device of choice this should make for some very interesting on the go gaming sessions. Downtime at work? Not to worry. Soon madfinger will have you covered.

Back in January, Madfinger announced they would be following shadowgun with the multiplayer variant for good old-fashioned deathmatch style action via mobile. We heard tricklings of the game add-on to the popular third person shooter and they even demoed it on a Transformer Prime tablet at CES. Still, weeks passed and nothing else could be heard of the game. It would make sense if they postponed the launch to focus all their efforts on Dead Trigger, although it isn’t confirmed this is what happened. Whatever the case may be, the trailer that debuted back in the beginning of the year and the teaser that was posted today does a great job at getting you all worked up to throw down. No real details on the game as of yet. I’d already started making a list of things I’d like to see in this game once it’s released to the public though. Starting with leaderboards and achievement systems. These need to be in place if they really want to reach out to the fans of multiplayer based shooters. Giving the gamer something to work for is rule number one and makes the player feel rewarded when something of a particularly difficult stature is obtained. I.E…. unlockables based on how many head shots you’ve gotten or special tags or something. Then of course, your name on a high score board for everyone to see. Digital bragging rights. Forever ingrained in everyone’s mind who will then be trying to take your name down and replace it with his or her own.

Whatever new additions if any that have been added to the game, we can all only hope that they put as much thought into this as they did their last couple titles. If they didn’t skimp on the extras and followed trend of their past games then this will be a surefire hit. Madfinger saw fit to tease us with this tantalizing information in the way that they always do by posting up a photo to their Facebook page. It’s also most likely on their twitter feed as well as they have done this in the past. If you have a facebook account go like their page for future updates and check out the teaser photo. Then view the trailer from back in January which I have posted below.
