Well here’s a step in the right direction for Motorola. Today Motorola introduced a few new devices for Verizon which include the Droid M, Droid Razr HD and Droid Razr MAXX HD. Included in that announcement was that Motorola would give owners a $100 credit towards a new device if their device is not getting Jelly Bean. So far the details are a bit sketchy, and it looks like you’ll have to have a device older than the Droid 3 to get the $100 credit.
Motorola said they are planning to roll out Jelly Bean to as many of their devices as possible. Most of the 2011 models will be getting Jelly Bean. That includes the Razr and Razr Maxx, and the Droid 4. Now the Droid 3 was released in 2011, but it still hasn’t gotten Ice Cream Sandwich, so we aren’t too sure it’ll get Jelly Bean anytime soon.
So is Google leading Motorola in the right direction? What are your thoughts on this credit? Let us know in the comments below.
