So we’ve seen some other pictures of this mysterious HTC device, and now we’ve found one that shows the entire front of the device. Based on the size and the positioning of the buttons, it looks like it’s a 5 inch phone-tablet hybrid from HTC. Which we did hear that the company was working on one to compete with Samsung’s Galaxy Note 2, and LG’s Optimus Vu and Intuition(on Verizon).
The Chinese forums that posted this image have the device pegged at being the HTC Endeavor C2, which is better known as the HTC One X+. Which is the same basic design as the One X but with beefier specs including a 1.7Ghz Quad-core Tegra 3 processor, and more RAM. Seeing as the One X is already 4.7-inches, it’s possible that HTC could have added a nice .3 inches into this device.
Yesterday HTC did start sending out invites to the press for an event in New York City on September 19th, where they would be announcing some US devices. And if indeed they are unveiling this device, we should be seeing more leaks over the next two weeks. As we always do here at Android Headlines, we’ll keep you posted on what they announce in two weeks time and what this device really is.
Would you buy a 5-inch device from HTC? According to the latest ComScore report which came out yesterday they only have about 6% market share. Let’s hope that increases and at least passes Apple and their iPhone’s market share very soon.
