Samsung has been a very busy company indeed, so far this year they’ve announced the Galaxy SIII, launched it on all the big carriers in the states, they’ve brought us the Note 10.1 and the Galaxy Note 2. It doesn’t look like they’re letting up either. The Korean company has been sending out invites to the press, asking them to come along to their new Samsung Mobile Store in Frankfurt on October 11th for a product announcement. Or at least, what looks like a product announcement. The event’s invite which is in German reads: “Ready for a little sensation? Be there when something small makes a big impact.” Which is typically Samsung – vague yet a little obvious.
I’d have to say that this is where we might see Samsung launch the elusive “Galaxy Music” which broke cover in a list of devices that are to be updated to Jelly Bean, we thought it odd that a device that hasn’t been launched yet be listed. If Samsung are talking about a “little sensation” making a “big impact” then I can only assume they’ll be bringing a smaller Galaxy Player to the market. Which really wouldn’t be a bad idea for Samsung, especially if it’s a device on the smaller side of things as people have been asking for smaller devices lately, as phones get bigger and bigger. The fact is that some people just don’t want a tablet – something like this could be the perfect alternative.
Whatever comes of the event – scheduled for two weeks from now – we’ll have the latest. I’m certainly hoping for a device that breaks the mould for once.
