Since the Galaxy Note 2 announcement and unveiling in Berlin last month, everyone has been wondering what carriers were going to pick it up. We’ve heard that Sprint will be offering it, and we’ve also seen the AT&T version’s system dump pop up on XDA. Now thanks to our great friends over at Brief Mobile, it looks like we have some confirmation on a Verizon branded Galaxy Note 2 with the model number SCH-I605.
It looks like the Galaxy Note 2 will run on a quad-core Exynos processor with 4G LTE capabilities, so no more of those dual-core processors for the US versions of the device like we saw in the Galaxy S3, and the HTC One X. According to Brief Mobile, the Verizon Galaxy Note 2 will look exactly the same as the International version, except for the Verizon branding. What’s interesting here is they say the home button is even branded.
So far it looks like Samsung is trying to mirror the Galaxy S3 launch with the upcoming launch of the Galaxy Note 2, can’t say it’s a bad idea. This is something other manufacturers need to take note on and do. Who else is tired of all these devices that are just a little bit different because of the carrier they are on?
So Verizon has the LG Intuition on sale now, HTC has a hybrid device coming to Verizon soon and the Galaxy Note 2 will be available on big red. What will you choose?
